This service differs from our standard Physiotherapy assessment as DIAGNOSTIC ULTRASOUND SCANNING is performed as an integrated assessment tool within our MSK Diagnostic Clinic with Specialist Physiotherapist and Clinical Director, Geoff Twinning. It allows an accurate diagnosis, injury site and provides the ability to target rehabilitation and treatment more effectively. For many tendinopathies, diagnostic ultrasound scanning will often avoid the expense of MRI.

Session Details

This imaging technique is a non-invasive medical test that helps physicians diagnose and treat musculo-skeletal conditions.

Ultrasound images of the musculoskeletal system provide pictures of muscles, tendons, ligaments, joints and soft tissue throughout the body.

Geoff Twinning has developed his skills in the area of sonography to help assist with the diagnosis of soft tissue injuries.

Muscle strains

This service is part of our NEW MSK Diagnostic Clinic and the onward management of our client's conditions and injury monitoring

Diagnostic Ultrasound is included, where appropriate, in any physiotherapy treatment with Mr Geoff Twinning. Our clinical team can refer directly for a scan if treatment is not progressing as planned. Scanning an injured tissue really helps to analyse the severity of any lesion at the onset but also through its recovery
